Palazzo Foscari is a palace in Venice that belonged to the doge of Francesco Foscari. The palace is located on the wide bend of the Grand Canal in the Dorsoduro district, where during the historic Regatta a floating wooden structure known as "Machina" is placed (on this structure the Venetian authorities look at the races and award prizes).
Palazzo Foscari was built in 1452, designed the building of Bartolomeo Bon. Currently, the University of Ca 'Foscari is located here.
