Nottingham

Nottingham was founded by Saxon settlers around the 7th century. In the legends of Robin Hood, Nottingham Castle becomes the scene of the final confrontation between Sheriff and the rogue hero. In the city there is a monument to the famous robber.
Sherwood Forest - another one covered by the legends of Robin Hood is the landmark of today's England. Today it is a park zone, located near the village of Edwinstow in the county of Nottinghamshire, England.
