Barcelona is a city in Spain; it is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of Catalonia. It is Located in the Northeast of the Iberian Peninsula on the Mediterranean Sea. One of the famous architectural attractions of Barcelona is the Pavilion of the famous architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, which is an original translucent building, which built of glass and different types of marble. This stylistic idea formed basis of the ceramic tiles collection “Barcelona”. In addition to the classic black and white marble textures, there are original decors made in the technique of "trencadis" — "broken" mosaic made up of fragments of ceramics. The Catalan architects Antoni Gaudí and Josep Maria Jujol used trenkadis in many of their projects; the best of them are located in Barcelona.
